President William Henry Harrison

President William Henry Harrison died on this day, April 4, in 1841. President Harrison served the shortest term of any President, dying from pneumonia 30 days after taking office. He became sick after giving a long winded inaugural address in the wind and cold without wearing a hat or coat. Kids, when Mom says bundle up, she ain't kidding around.

In memory of President Harrison, I say we send all of our politicians in Washington out the next cold day in D.C. to gives some speeches without their hats and coats.

That would definitely weed out the weak ones..huh? Unfortunately, the ones left would probably be the ones I am not fond off....like cockroaches, they would survive...

JC here, your Cincinnati Cub Reporter (or would that be Cincinnati RED reporter- haha)

Now for the Interesting part of the story.

Harrison's Tomb is located on Brower Road in Cleves Ohio 45202

I've been there HUNDREDS of times.

The Cincinnati Cycle Club sponsors a ride EVERY THURSDAY Night that begins in the parking lot at the bottom of the hill below his tomb.

Feel free to take this link to the start point: http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&addtohistory=&formtype=address&searchtype=address&cat=&address=&city=cleves&state=oh&zipcode=&searchtab=home

BTW- The Tomb is also a National Park. They get mad when bicyclists use the trees for certain "nature" functions. The park rangers seem to pop out of the woods in their Smokey the Bear hats when you least expect it.
